Get Ready for Teacher Appreciation Week
“A teacher nourishes the soul of a child for a lifetime.”
With an #AttitudeOfGratitude, we are thankful for educators and their dedication and passion for the work they do each day. As Teacher Appreciation Week 2025 quickly approaches in early May, we are excited to share a few ideas and resources in preparation for this week.
- Read our blog, Teacher Appreciation Week: A Time to Foster Engagement & Validation, which offers suggestions for Teacher Appreciation Week that put an intentional focus on valuing the teachers and staff who make such a significant impact on students’ lives.
- Join our Educator Facebook Group! A forum for teachers and administrators to share how their schools have incorporated the 7 Mindsets into their school culture and community, this group is moderated by 7 Mindsets team members and encourages educators to post stories, photos, videos, ideas, and questions to help others maximize the impact of 7 Mindsets in their schools. In late April, we’ll launch our Teacher Appreciation Week contest, so join now!

Let Them Shine! Event
A Celebration of Students, Administrators & the Power of the Mindsets in Schools
On Thursday, April 3rd, Hillsborough County Public Schools recognized 42 students from six elementary schools at its Let Them Shine! event. Held at Sheehy Elementary, this event recognized students
who embody the 7 Mindsets in their schools. Administrators at the six elementary schools were also recognized for their efforts in creating a positive culture and climate throughout their communities.
Event hosts Julia Sarmiento-Cohen, Supervisor, and Phillip Guest, Coordinator for HCPS’s Resiliency, Character, and Life Skills Education, welcomed guests and attendees, including district administrators and Board members, and gave out awards to students and school administrators.
