October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month, a time for communities to come together as partners in prevention. Substance use and misuse can lead to academic underachievement, mental health issues, and more. Teaching students simple and effective strategies to navigate these situations and feel comfortable voicing their struggles can be a proactive way to provide much-needed support. School Engagement Spotlight
BLACK MANOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Texas)
Post-Covid, the Blake Manor Elementary campus struggled with parent, family, and community engagement, low attendance, increase of students struggling with mental health and not having the resources to support all these factors posed a challenge and negatively impacted our campus culture (students and staff).
